Welcome to the website of the Friends of Freeman Library, one of the twenty-eight branch libraries of Harris County, TX and a neighbor of the Johnson Space Center.  The Friends are an active volunteer group that raises money for the library through books sales, volunteer-sponsored programs, Friends memberships, and other means. The income from these activities pays for books and other media, library programs and materials, and support a variety of other library needs that can’t be met with funds provided by the county.

On this website you can find information about the Friends, our very affordable used bookstore, and how you can contribute.  We support projects and activities that enhance education, reading, and learning. We hope that you’re as passionate about our library as we are, and enjoy and benefit from the time you spend on our site.
